The Victoria Miro Gallery gallery's ethos is to promote great and innovative artists and to nurture the best talent from around the world.

\n\nVictoria Miro works with established international artists including Doug Aitken, Yayoi Kusama, Sarah Sze, Elmgreen \u0026amp; Dragset and Tal R; British figures such as Alex Hartley and Stephen Willats and has nurtured some of the best emerging British talent of recent years including Idris Khan, Varda Caivano and Conrad Shawcross and younger International artists such as Secundino Hernandez and Maria Nepomuceno. The gallery's roster currently includes 40 artists, among them Turner Prize winners Chris Ofili and Grayson Perry, as well as Turner Prize nominees Peter Doig, Ian Hamilton Finlay and Isaac Julien. Chris Ofili, Elmgreen \u0026amp; Dragset and Sarah Sze have all represented their countries at the Venice Biennale.\n\nVictoria Miro first opened her gallery in Cork Street in 1985 and relocated to a former furniture factory situated between Hoxton and Islington in northeast London in 2000. In October 2006 the gallery expanded further by opening a second exhibition and viewing space in an adjoining building on Wharf Road. In October 2014 Victoria Miro returned to Mayfair to open a third space, making the gallery one of the largest commercial spaces in London. Victoria Miro Venice opened in May 2017 to coincide with Venice Biennale
