Van Rensburg Galleries presenting at Hamptons Virtual Art Fair 2020, features 4 artists whose work explores a different aspect of the theme ‘Between Two Worlds’. This interpretation of the current global event we find ourselves in has the artists exploring their own experience of enforced isolation, illusion of freedom, stillness, disassociation from personal interaction and global movement, beyond language to where we all find ourselves being able to express the collective bellow of emotion that we all feeling today.
The artists in different mediums look to transport themselves and us, from the current world into their external reality, beyond this moment that we all seem to be lingering in - between two worlds.
Mitchell English as an Australian surfer and Iconic Pop artist, speaks of no other season but summer and looks to the beach and waves for his inspiration.
Jasmine Mansbridge - brings a refined and meticulous hand to her work whilst she looks into the abyss of `Shape Shifting’ deliberation and contemplation are evident at all times.
Marjorie Salvaterra - Her photography is immediately cinematic, surreal, and would seem at home in the universe of Une Femme Marié, Jean-Luc Godards 1964 French drama.
Nat Anderson - endeavours to capture elements within the landscape that are both ancient and timeless in a context of the ever changing natural phenomena. It is this tension between change and timelessness that keeps her going back to the ocean.

Van Rensburg Galleries showcases work by award winning Australian and Internationally collected artists. Representing these artists in New York and Hong Kong and Australia. Also curating satellite shows in Singapore, Miami, Los Angeles and Paris. Van Rensburg Galleries run an evolving series of exhibitions typically featuring work with a modern, figurative sensibility that is emotionally rich and poignant, but often also conveying wit and humour.
