\nLocated on the restored historical building that once housed C... more >> WALDENGALLERY was established in 2015 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Following a previous project, it presented it self as an experimental platform with the intention of building bridges and critically reflecting on artistic proceses, production conditions, cultural practices, and political-affective links between works, creators, cultural managers, institutions and spectators.
\nLocated on the restored historical building that once housed CAyC (Centre for Arts and Communication), an iconic institution that was key for the internationalization or Argentinean and Latin American art from 1970 to the late 90s, the gallery nourishes a program of collaborations between artists from different generations, some of them are, poetically, founding members of CAyC.\nDuring the Argentinean Summer of 2019, WALDENGALLERY presented Yulinda, its own quarterly publication, aimed to offer a space for dissemination, discussion and critical thinking, which will serve as a trigger for questioning different approaches on artists and artworks, while encouraging future research on contemporary artistic practices.\nAdditionally to year round exhibitions and participation in art fairs, WALDENGALLERY promotes artists publications with its own editorial label
