Gallery G-77 was first opened in 2003 in St. Petersburg. It was one of the first galleries in Russia to present
contemporary international artists with a particular focus on Japan, where the gallery’s owner Andrey
Mikhailov has spent more than 10 years. In 2011 the gallery moved to Japan and in November 2014
established its new location in Kyoto city centre. Gallery G-77 presentations reflect some current trends in
contemporary Japanese art. Unique artworks by young artists show an entirely original and Japanese
approach.
