Kasper Contemporary is pleased to present "Adam Baranello: Unfiltered," a solo exhibition spotlighting the dynamic, cross-disciplinary work of Hamptons-based artist Adam Baranello, whose practice spans music, dance, film, fashion, and visual art. The online exhibition will be on view @Artsy from March 26 to June 30, 2025.
Baranello is a true multidisciplinary force. He lives on the East End of Long Island, NY, and creates music, movement, films, fashion, and visual art, seamlessly weaving them together to deliver a singular, cohesive message. As a teaching artist, he uses his artwork to educate, connect, and inspire local and global audiences.
"Adam Baranello: Unfiltered" features a curated selection of his original paintings and works on paper—offering viewers a bold glimpse into his expressive, energetic world. Known for his raw, distinctive figurative style, Baranello's imagery pulses with authenticity, drawing influence from street art, pop culture, and abstract expressionism. "Adam’s work defies boundaries," says Deanne Shashoua, Director of Kasper Contemporary. "His ability to blend music, movement, film, and visual art into one unified artistic statement is electrifying. This exhibition gives audiences a chance to step inside his ever-evolving world.”
Baranello’s extensive creative output includes 12 original music albums, 7 feature films, and the co-ownership of A&G Dance Company with Gail Baranello. His 6th feature film, "RaceCar.", has been screened at 22 film festivals worldwide, while his award-winning art film "FUSÉE."—a collaboration with the Watermill Center—has earned 3 Best Experimental Film awards, including recognition at the Clown Film Festival in Paris, France. His newest project, "Night.", a vampire-themed film, is set to begin its festival run later this year.
Baranello holds a residency for his visual art and dance company at the Southampton Cultural Center in Southampton, NY. He is also the founder of the OFF Hampton Film Festival and serves as a creative director and consultant for various arts organizations throughout the East End.
