Although he was an artist of the world, he chose to work in his native land spreading the aesthetic modernization in the country.

His vast career with several "moments" portrays his long evolution. Textures and compositions are allied elements in his painting that flows permanently. His vision of time, the connection between form and color, sensation and volume are important. The rhythm and the poetry stimulate the infinite imagination.
The artist has been distinguished with many awards. He held several international exhibitions and auctions at Christie's and Sotheby's since 1981. His work is in important collections and prestigious Museums of the world: MNAV - National Museum of Visual Arts of Montevideo; Reina Sofía Museum of Madrid, MOLAA - Long Beach Latin American Museum, L.A, California; Museum of Modern Art of Mexico and National Museum of Fine Arts of Chile, among others.
