The narrative of the show is the examination of different materials, subverting their traditional usage whilst exploring themes of balance and suspension
Wessberg and Koshenkova both exploit the idea of the body being wrapped and its connections with materials designed for restraint, constraint or protection. Both artists look to find some kind of balance between these themes. Urrutia deals with similar concepts of restraint and balance through his own practice, using the theme of equilibrium to stretch the limits of the material and constraints of his previous role as an architect.
