ACCS Visual Arts is pleased to present some of the wonderful artworks of the amazing and multi-faceted Carlos Páez Vilaró. Painter, ceramist, sculptor, muralist who works in literature and film production. He is a "builder of things" as he defined himself. Casapueblo, the "habitable sculpture" that he built was his home, workshop, hotel and current museum of his work. He was a free creator who brought his art to the people.

He lived with the Candombe and the Comparsa del "Conventillo Medio Mundo" and while his art grows with a strong Afro influence, it also helps to make these cultural expressions visible in the face of the incomprehension of the 40s and 50s. Everyday life is also present with abstractions of the sun, moon, animals, wakes or dances.

He founded the Group of 8 encouraging experimental art (1957). He leaves indelible marks in the many exhibitions, including his murals, drawings for exclusive tableware or his identity paintings on the planes and sails of the Navy of his country. He was a free creator who brought his art to the people. His artworks are in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, the United States, Haiti, Panama, various places in Africa and Polynesia.
