The gallery's mission has included intensive exploration of the well-known and the unseen in Chicago, with solo presentations and representation of significant historical figures including Christina Ramberg, Dominick Di Meo, Ed Flood, Phillip Hanson, Barbara Rossi, and Karl Wirsum.

In each case, the desire to broaden awareness of these artists has led the gallery to establish meaningful partnerships, presenting Ramberg (Nolan/New York), Di Meo (Dane/London), and Hanson (Cohan/New York) in top galleries around the world. The flip side of this has meant bringing great artists with resonance in Chicago to the city for solo exhibitions at CvsD; these have included Richard Artschwager, Arturo Herrera, Josiah McElheny, Albert Oehlen, Joyce Pensato, Christopher Williams, Terry Winters, and Christopher Wool. Corbett vs. Dempsey now represents several of these artists
