« Paris mon amour » is a project imagined and concieved specifically for Art Paris 2020.
We will present a set of artworks chosen for their link with Paris and love. The starting point of this double thematic is the encounter of Raymond Hains with a torn poster in 1971. The same way he liked to stroll in the streets of the city, in order to discover and to photograph signs and elements of language that he used to build his thinking system ans his exhibitions, we will walk around with him from the Pont Neuf to the Centre Pompidou, where we will find Brion Gysin, then to Belleville for a meeting with Ben, by going back through the Eiffel tower with Robert Filiou, then we will head Saint-Germain-des-Prés for sharing a drink while listenig to some music with Denise Aubertin. This journey in a Paris put in artworks, we will make it walking on paving stones of different neighbourhoods with Esther Ferrer, and we will find our way around thanks to Jean-Luc Parant. May this « psychogeographic » journey help us remember that Paris is a magic city that will still inspire artists as long as it exist !
