This set of five landscapes were made in Tuscany, looking out on the Montalcino hills, in the summer of 2016. The titles of the works are descriptive poems that give a sense of a narrative. These gouaches on rice paper are 8 feet long and need space to see the full image and feel the lateral movement.         great. I like these pieces. I think it has some special perspective to see an irregualr “long” artwork.
